As one of the nation’s largest single-source providers of lighting and electrical products, electrical services, electrical construction, and energy management solutions is expanding their staff and seeking a Lighting Retrofit Sales Representative to join the Manhattan team. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lighting Retrofit Sales Representative you will skillfully and assertively market the services, rebate programs and products of Facility Solutions Group to assigned sales territory, in this case, Long Island. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in large contract lighting retrofit projects, documented sales experience, and motivated in providing a quality sales experience to the client. We are seeking candidates with in depth knowledge of the region, strong prospecting, and presentation skills.

Lighting Retrofit Sales Representative will:

  • Travels throughout assigned territory to meet with prospective customers to solicit orders, or communicates with customers via phone
  • Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features
  • Follow up within 24 hours on quotations in an effort to write an order, or receive feedback to use in future quotations
  • Demonstrate the many benefits of LED lighting via sales presentations
  • Understand the various rebate programs offered as well as offer project financing details
  • Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
  • Conduct cold calls to potential clients in an effort to secure new business opportunities for Facility Solutions Group.
  • Attend appropriate continuing education courses in the industry as directed by the Branch Manager
Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will satisfy the following requirements and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Two to three year experience in a sales environment.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Live in or near assigned territory of Long Island
  • Have enthusiastic, outgoing, competitive and self-motivated attributes
  • Experience with selling performance contracts and/or large (<$100,000) retrofit projects
  • Experience in lighting distribution or electrical system installations a plus!
