SMG Administration is now seeking a Full-Time REMOTE Pharmacy Technician II!

**THIS POSITION IS FOR VA OR NC RESIDENTS ONLY**

The SMG Pharmacy Technician II is an experienced pharmacy technician and will provide the technical functions associated with the delivery of clinical pharmacy services in the ambulatory physician practice setting. This position will support the centralized medication renewal services provided through the clinical access center.

May perform duties such as completing reports, inputting computer data, and providing all aspects of customer service that are required to provide Pharmacy Department services. This position completes the essential functions of the job under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.

Qualifications:

  • VA OR NC (depending upon state location) Pharmacy Technician Registration Number
  • PTCB or NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
  • 3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience
  • High School or Equivalent

Job Summary

The SMG Pharmacy Technician II is an experienced pharmacy technician and will provide the technical functions associated with the delivery of clinical pharmacy services in the ambulatory physician practice setting. This position will support the pharmacy operations manager with oversight of medication procurement/security within practice offices, and involvement in other pharmacy programs such as medication adherence and centralized prior authorizations.

Serves as liaison for physician and community-relations activities. May perform duties such as completing reports, inputting computer data, and providing all aspects of customer service that are required to provide Pharmacy Department services. This position completes the essential functions of the job under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.

VA OR NC (depending upon state location) Pharmacy Technician Registration Number and PTCB or NHA Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)

1 year of hospital pharmacy technician experience required

Qualifications:

Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) - Certification - National Healthcareer Association (NHA), Pharmacy Technician - State license - North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP), Pharmacy Technician - State License - Other/National, Pharmacy Technician - State License - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
