We have an excellent opportunity for a mid-level Geologist in our Seattle, WA office to support NAVFAC NW, USACE, EPA, and commercial clients.

What you will do:

The mid-level Geologist will be responsible for planning and leading on-site geologic field investigations, data acquisition, and data analysis activities for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects.

Specific duties include:

  • Lead on-site activities that include soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater sampling, observation of drilling and well installation activities, and environmental data management and reporting.
  • Delegate tasks to staff members and direct field efforts (sampling, monitoring, inspections).
  • Prepare work plans, and reports for clients/stakeholders.
  • Provide both technical and task management support to a growing office.
  • Manage task/projects budgets.
  • Maintain overall project quality.

What you will need:

  • B.S. degree (M.S degree preferred) in geology.
  • Professional Geologist License (any state) and eligible for reciprocity in Washington State preferred.
  • 6 or more years of industry experience (graduate degree could substitute for years of experience), including field team leadership experience.
  • Experience working on environmental investigations under CERCLA and/or MTCA.
  • Experience conducting and managing field teams for environmental sampling.
  • Good management and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office proficiency required.
  • Proficiency with ArcGIS, borehole logging, 3D modeling, or groundwater modeling software preferred.
  • Familiarity with slug tests, aquifer pump tests, or Incremental Sampling Methodology sampling preferred.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest region while conducting field work for extended durations.
  • Knowledge of federal clients and contracts.

Anticipated salary range of $80,000-$95,000 per year.
