As a Business Finance Analyst, you will provide financial and control expertise to the Busway Selmer, ELDS (Electrification Distribution Solutions) in Selmer, Tennessee, benchmarking KPIs (Key Performance Indicator) while working with other finance professionals to understand the drivers of financial performance, identifying trends relevant to the business. In this role, you will provide financial expertise to their assigned organization by compiling and analyzing various relevant metrics, identifying trends and problems, communicating information to relevant groups, and recommending actions to improve financial performance of a specific business. This role will need to be able to work a hybrid in-person schedule in the Selmer, TN facility.

Your responsibilities

  • Performs analyses of business performance versus budget and forecast, and accordingly proposes improvement actions
  • Performs benchmarking of key performance indicators with industry competitors and similar businesses within ABB
  • Works with other finance professionals to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance of the organization and identify trends
  • Prepares financial modeling for various hypotheses and the overall impact to the business unit
  • Supports the preparation of financial reporting, business planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the relevant organization
  • Validates the accuracy of financial data and business information and reports through reconciliations and review of exceptions
  • Provides information to management by gathering and summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations
  • Optimizes their performance to increase productivity by developing automated solutions, eliminating duplications, and coordinating information requirements
  • Ensures processes and controls within area of responsibility, are designed and implemented in line with internal policies and regulations
  • Maintains proper audit trail and documentation for future tax/ internal/external audits and reviews
Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field with minimum of 2 years experience
  • Expertise in Accounting (in a factory setting preferred)
  • Proficient in Financial Analysis
  • Costing / Cost Accounting experience highly preferred
  • Experience managing Performance Management, embracing Operational Excellence, Risk Management and Internal Controls, and Performing Data Analytics preferred
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
