POSITION SUMMARY
As a Project Engineer, you will be placed into a 12-month rotational program where you will support various departments involved in the life cycle of a construction project. During these rotations, you will participate in McKenney's preconstruction, design, virtual construction, fabrication, project management, and installation phases of a project, as well as the technology processes involved. Throughout this program, you will not only gain hands-on project experience but also learn how each of these groups interact with the Logistics & Manufacturing Department. In addition to this training, we expect the Project Engineer to develop strong relationships with project managers, foreman, virtual construction team members, field operations, engineers, suppliers, and other trade sub-contractors through consistent interaction and communication.
Throughout their rotations, the Project Engineer will work with their sponsor in Logistics and Manufacturing to identify logistics, supply chain operations, manufacturing, technology, and project management career opportunities after finishing the program. These opportunities will be based on candidate interest and business need, and include, but are not limited to, roles involving expanding purchasing support to all business units or providing project management support of manufacturing operations.
