Summary

The Projects Manager is responsible for planning and executing transportation and logistics projects for DSV. This role requires strong project management skills, as well as knowledge of transportation and logistics operations. The Projects Manager will work closely with customers, internal teams, and external partners to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute transportation and logistics project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with customers, internal teams, and external partners to define project scope and objectives
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Manage project budgets and ensure that projects are completed within budgetary constraints
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  • Support the development of project proposals and bids

Educational background / Work experience

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is typically required for this position.
  • At least 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics project management is preferred. Experience working in a customer-facing role is also desirable.

  • Knowledge of transportation and logistics operations, including freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and warehousing
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards, including international trade compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes

Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)

  • The Projects Manager may be responsible for managing project team members, such as project coordinators or analysts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet
  • Experience working with international customers and partners
  • Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies

Language skills

  • Fluency in English (oral and written)

Computer Literacy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet

For this position, the expected base pay is: $90,500 - $135,000/ Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
